Our journey and growth

Alamance Acers Volleyball (AAV) began in 2011 as a parent-run organization dedicated to homeschooled athletes in Alamance County, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas. Since our humble beginnings, we have steadily grown into a robust and competitive volleyball program. We proudly field three distinct teams: Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity, offering a comprehensive and engaging experience for all our players.

Our mission and values

Alamance Acers is a dynamic homeschool volleyball program specifically designed for girls aged 10-18. When appropriate, we also offer a developmental team for those new to the sport. Our core mission is to foster a healthy volleyball training environment for girls and young women, instilling a deep love for the game while building their confidence. We are committed to training our players in volleyball fundamentals at the highest level possible, all while maintaining a Christian spirit in our training and team philosophy. Our ultimate goal is to create the most competitive teams that elevate homeschool volleyball to the next level in North Carolina.

Who we are for

Alamance Acers is the perfect fit for homeschool families seeking a supportive and challenging athletic environment. We welcome girls who are ready to work hard, play hard, and have fun, whether you already possess a passion for volleyball or are just looking to try something new. We regularly host open gyms during the off-season, providing a fantastic opportunity for prospective players to experience our community and see what we are all about firsthand.

Being a part of the Alamance Acers helped shape me into the athlete and person I am today. As an alumna, I carry with me the lessons this team and program taught me, hard work, resilience, leadership, and the confidence to keep growing through every challenge. The Acers gave me more than the opportunity to compete; they gave me a foundation that helped me achieve my dream of being recruited for D3 to play college volleyball as a setter. That accomplishment was the result of countless hours of dedication, encouragement from my coaches and teammates, and a commitment to never stop improving. This program helped prepare me for success both on and off the court and I am forever grateful for every moment. I will always be proud to be an Acer, and I hope my story encourages the next generation of players to trust the process, embrace every moment, and never stop chasing your dreams.
