Our volleyball programs
Discover the exciting volleyball programs offered by Alamance Acers. From competitive teams to development opportunities, we foster a love for the game and build confidence in young women.
Program overview
Alamance Acers offers a dynamic range of volleyball programs designed for homeschooled athletes in Burlington, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas. Our programs cater to various skill levels and age groups, focusing on growth, camaraderie, and competitive play.
Competitive teams
Join one of our three competitive teams: middle school, Junior Varsity, or Varsity. These programs offer intensive training, competitive games starting in August, and tournaments, including our main event in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Open gyms
Participate in our open gym sessions held throughout March and April. These are excellent opportunities for athletes to sharpen their skills, get a feel for our coaching style, and prepare for tryouts.
Development team
When applicable, we offer a development team for athletes looking to build fundamental skills and gain experience in a supportive environment. This program focuses on nurturing talent and fostering a love for the game.
Our unique approach
At Alamance Acers, we believe in building a strong community where every girl is encouraged, instructed, and loved. We emphasize kindness, grace, and a competitive spirit, creating a balanced and enriching experience.
What makes us special
Our programs stand out because of our close-knit community. Girls are not only trained in volleyball fundamentals at the highest level but are also encouraged to show kindness and give grace to one another, all while maintaining a competitive drive. We strive to instill confidence and a strong Christian spirit in every athlete.
Joining Alamance Acers
Tryouts are typically held in May, with practices commencing shortly after. The season runs from August to October, featuring several tournaments. To learn more, please reach out to us via email.
Parent commitment
Alamance Acers is a parent-run organization. For the program to be successful and for the girls to have the best season possible, it is essential that parents are willing to commit their time, energy, and talents to the team. Every family is expected to contribute to the organization by volunteering.
-
Every parent must be willing to help run our program by being a line judge, libero tracker, score flipper, official score book keeper or running the concessions and admissions table.
- Training sessions will be offered to train you on being a line judge, libero tracker, and official score book keeper.
-
If you cannot make the games you are scheduled to work, you must find a replacement and let your team mom know who will be taking your place.
-
A player/parent contract will need to be signed by all families. If you are unable to commit to the parent involvement for the entire season, you will need to discuss this with the director immediately to determine the best course of action before teams are selected.
